Experimental CD Covers

These are CD covers I created for a Photoshop class I recently took at SAIT. This was my first time trying anything like this and I really enjoyed the ability to be more artistic with the use of my photographs and found images. Although the assignment only asked for one CD cover to be presented, I made 3 because as I started working the more images I found the more ideas I came up with and so 3 CD covers were made.
Credits I need to give would be to my friend Jessie (her portrait I used for one of the CD covers) and my late Grandfather that also enjoyed photography and who inspires me still (some of his photography is featured in these CD covers as well).
I used the band Metric as my inspirations for two of these works. As well as K'naan who played in a concert in Calgary for a festival last year. I took some photos while attending the concert and had always wanted to find a way to use the photographs, and this project seemed to suit.
